10 Fun things to do with kids in Valencia in June 2018
June is here and with it comes the hot summer in Valencia (so we hope). You might find yourself trying to avoid the sun or to stay close to the water. Luckily, Valencia has many child-friendly activities and places to choose from, indoors and outdoors. It will be hard for your children to be bored. To give you an easy start, we have created a list of 10 things do to with your children in Valencia in June 2018:
1. Valencia Beaches
Going to the beach is always an exciting plan for the summer in coastal cities, and Valencia is no exception. Your children will be able to have the most fun imaginable in the ideal place. Most beaches in Valencia, like La Malvarrosa, Pinedo, El Saler and many others provide playgrounds in the sand. Our top tip is the Patacona Beach with lots of beautiful cafés and restaurants. Las Mas Bonita even has a chiringito (little bar/café) on the Patacona Beach, right next to the sea. Very close to it, you will find an exciting little playground for your kids.
The beaches of Valencia offer many possibilities to have a great time, and most especially during the summer when they become the leisure center of the city. Some even turn into outdoor movie theatres, where you can enjoy your favorite film while resting your feet in the cozy sand. A beach day can definitely never go wrong!
2. Bioparc “en compañía” and Africa Expedition workshop
This modern zoo—where animals live as if in their own habitats—celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. As part of the celebration, from April 14th to June 17th they are offering a special promotion to enjoy the African spring “en compañía.” For only 38€, you can get tickets and snacks for two. (This promotion is exclusively for people who buy online tickets.)
Additionally, from June 25th to July 21st, Bioparc will offer the workshop “African Expedition Summer 2018,” which will make the park available for all children to enjoy several thematic activities, aimed for children between 5 and 12 years old. They will get the opportunity to learn about the extraordinary animals living in the zoo, their habitats, and natural conservation in a deeper and more exciting way. Undoubtedly, the funniest approach to learning about wild life!

They face some difficulties when they find a big mass of floating plastic garbage in the middle of the ocean. They will have to solve this pollution problem in order to accomplish their mission and to save the planet. Do not miss this pirate’s adventure that will take place every Sunday of June (June 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th). Online tickets are only 6 Euro per person.

Children will learn about the life cycle of the silkworm, passing through all the phases: the egg, the larva, the caterpillar, the chrysalis, and the final butterfly. Each phase will be represented by a different interactive activity in which every family member will have fun.
