Learning English with Bambolango at Smileland Family Club in Valencia
Is there a better way for children to learn a new language than in a playful way? I highly doubt it. That’s why I took my son by the hand and entered the fabulous kids’ world at Smileland Family Club to attend Bambolango’s Family English Workshop.
As soon as Smileland’s door opened, my son was immediately absorbed by the small village that was built specifically for kids. Here, little ones can get busy in a huge playhouse with kitchen, speed around in little cars, balance on boards, enjoy musical instruments, play with a train, read books and so much more.
Everyone who wants to enter the play area has to take their shoes off which keeps the place very clean. Those who prefer a rather lazy and relaxed stay, can make themselves comfortable on the little sofa or one of the cushions which are included in the play area.
The café area is directly next to the play area. Unless you are choosing a table at the very front or back, you can nicely see the little ones having fun while you sip your well-deserved coffee. The café also serves snacks like crepes, waffles, cakes, brownies and more. The special menu offers vegan drinks, gluten free ice cream, also without sugar and organic food for the very little guests. Smileland really makes sure that big and small are having a great time.
Once I finally convinced my son to leave the play area and enter the room in the back, Deborah from Bambolango made sure to get all his attention. They started off with an engaging welcome-song and then talked about how everyone felt today. Only one child said he was angry that he had to leave the play area. The others were all happy and excited. I loved that Deborah created a really good mix of calm activities (creating rabbits with cotton balls) and games where kids could move their bodies. Perfect for my son with his never depleting energy levels. Deborah only spoke English and the kids learned very quickly. 45 minutes flew by like nothing and at the end very happy kids changed from workshop location back to the kids play area.
Bambolango offers several workshops to help kids learn English: musical adventures, painting, sensory play and much more. Some of the activities are held at their premises and some of them at Smileland. Please check their Facebook page for upcoming events. The workshop we attended costs 10 € and includes the playtime before and after at Smileland Familyclub.
Smileland also offers a diversity of workshops for kids that include dancing, yoga, nature, story telling and more. For checking out the upcoming events, please visit their Facebook page.
No matter if your kids fancy attending a workshop or not, Smileland Family Club should be on your to-visit-list. One or more smiles are guaranteed!
